Meet the Team: Ritika Khasgiwale

Meet the Team Ritika Khasgiwale

In this interview I talk with our new team member, Ritika Khasgiwale, who serves as a UI/UX Junior Designer for BitBranding. Let's get into it:

Can you tell us about yourself?

I was lucky to spend my childhood in the city of palaces and lakes surrounded by golden hills which often turn green in monsoons. Though I could feel the importance of architecture and landscape at an early age, my formal introduction to design happened during my graduation in Architecture followed by Masters in Retail Experience Design. Since then, I have been experimenting with design in various ways. I enjoy making meaningful relationship between people and their surroundings and craft experiences that do more than just work. The last 7 years I have been playing roles of architect, retail experience designer and an entrepreneur.

I am an avid traveler, iphonographer, food lover and a great cook. You can find me exploring the city nooks on a bicycle in my free time. A Strong believer that discovering new places gives better ideas.

I moved to the US in October of 2016. It's been great knowing an entirely different country and experiencing a new culture. As I was new to the place, I started networking and loved meeting people with unique stories. Also, I got the opportunity to work here as a freelancer. Though I was enjoying my work but felt that one thing which was missing was a team. And now I am working here at BitBranding as a UI/UX Designer, one of my much coveted company.

Awesome!... What are you excited the most about working with BitBranding?

There are several reasons why I wanted to be a part of BitBranding but what I was excited about the most was to work with a dynamic team. I have been following you on almost all social media platforms and was really inspired and got a lot of tips about digital marketing. Along with awesome content you deliver, you guys are great presenters and fortunately, I got the opportunity to work with you.

Do you have any hobbies?

I am insanely obsessed with Bollywood - the Indian film Industry. The color, the energy, the passion and the drama that emanates from these movies basically drives everything what I do and who I am today.

Any favorite line from a movie?

My favorite line from movie - Tiranga.

“Hum Aakhon se Soorma hi nahi, Aakhein chura lete hain” Though its quite difficult to translate it literally, It tries to convey “We not only gain one’s attention, but we win their hearts.”

Where would you like to travel to?

I dream of going on a bike trip to the high altitude Himalayan caves, sit there and paint, while listening to sufi music, sipping my ginger honey lemon tea in my favorite china pot with a piece of marble cake.

If you were stuck on an island what three things would you bring?

Spotify, Sketchbook & lots and lots of food =).
